Blanche Marie-Bakhuis-Apoera

A beautiful 4-day trip, a visit to Blanche Marie-Bakuys-Apoera is definitely worth it. It is possible to sleep on beds, but nothing beats a hammock in the wild. And also a visit to the Indian Trio in the area of Avanavero. Bakhuis (also known as Bakhuys) is a place located in the Sipaliwini district in the west of Suriname. The region is rich in bauxite. The Bakuys Mountains are largely granite and separate the basins of the Kabalebo and Nickerie rivers in the west and the Coppename river in the east. This visit is completely organized back to basics. You enjoy the beautiful bay, sleep in a hammock in a tent and as nomads we change places every day. Adventurous enough for those who want an exciting experience. For groups of 4 or more people.
